About Andoni Iapetus

Andoni Iapetus writes fiction at the crossroads of trauma, justice, and survival. His work blends the visceral realities of war, love, and identity with thriller pacing and psychological depth. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force and former contracting executive, Andoni’s prose is infused with lived truth—gritty, poetic, and unflinching.

His MGSI Universe explores what happens when veterans are no longer in uniform but remain in the fight—emotionally, tactically, and morally. Biography

Andoni Iapetus is the pen name of a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, defense executive, and author whose work explores the human cost of war, loyalty, and survival. Over the span of three decades, including twenty years in uniform, he served across the globe in national security and defense contracting roles, at times with special operations and high-stakes mission sets. His fiction draws directly from this experience—not to glorify it, but to expose its truths.

Through emotionally layered characters and sharp, unrelenting prose, Andoni Iapetus creates worlds where trauma is not just endured, but understood. His writing blends the adrenaline of political thrillers with the depth of literary fiction, illuminating themes of moral injury, found family, and the quiet strength of those who carry too much. Whether in the deserts of Afghanistan or the mountains of Greece, his characters never stop fighting—for each other, for redemption, or for the last shreds of themselves.

Iapetus currently spends his time with his wife between the United States and a village near Mount Olympus, Greece. When not writing, he mentors veterans, advocates for ethical storytelling, and drinks Guinness like it’s gospel.
