It’s been two years since I stood here—at the foot of Mount Olympus. The peaks haven’t changed, but I have.

Marika and I are soaking in the sun down at Plaka, recharging in the shadow of the gods. This morning, she, her mother, and I visited the Laiki (local farmers market) for the best fruits and vegetables you’ll find anywhere—real food, grown by real hands.

This year, I’ll be volunteering at the Running of the Gods Marathon from Dion to Litochoro—no longer a runner, but still in the fight.

And yes—the novel of the same name drops October 1.
